Get Involved

There are many opportunities for those both near and far to become involved with the work at Martha’s Task. Of course, every time you purchase an item made by a seamstress at Martha’s Task, you are DIRECTLY benefitting a woman who is working hard to escape poverty and create a better life for herself and her family. Here are some other ways you can get involved:

Volunteer!

For those nearby, we need volunteers to help in these ways:

Be a guest instructor! Share your interest in sewing, knitting, crocheting, or crafting, and expand the horizons for the seamstresses who are always eager to learn new things!

Help wash and sort donated fabric. It's easy and not too time consuming, and you get the benefit of knowing you are helping people in need.

Help us with marketing! We need people with great ways to spread the word about Martha's Task to help our ladies gain customers and supporters.

If you are a carpenter or mechanic, the women we serve often need home and car repair. We also have a need for light carpentry/repair work at our center.

For information on volunteering or donating, please call Martha's Task at: 918-336-8275, or email us at: .

Donate Items!

Our program revolves around donated materials. We continually need donated print and solid cotton fabric, fleece, interfacing and many more sewing-related supplies. Learn more about donating items and materials to Martha's Task.

Donate Cash!

We run our program on cash donations that support occupancy costs, our emergency assistance program and supplies for our sewing program that are not donated. You can donate to Martha's Task on our easy-to-use, secure donation form.
